View Full Version : [A] <Dogwatch> New Start for Cataclysm, Late Evening 10 Man Raiding

14-10-2010, 07:58 AM
Guild Information:

<Dogwatch> is a late evening 10 man raiding guild. Our mission statement is simple: progress focused raiding and seeing all content without sacrificing our real lives to achieve it, taking on all challenges in Cataclysm and beyond, kick ass and have fun doing it. We aim to provide a “mature”, friendly atmosphere in guild, alongside excellent raiding progress on a lighter schedule than a lot of guilds and at adult friendly start and end times, allowing plenty of time for real life commitments to be taken care of.

Current guild level: level 4.

Who is the guild suitable for?:

<Dogwatch> is best suited to ‘mature’ gamers or others who are restricted to evening play due to work or family commitments and therefore cant dedicate the huge amount of time required by the raiding schedules of ‘hardcore’ guilds, and yet have the enthusiasm and ability to take on hard mode content and go for those sexy achievements.

We aim to keep our raiding roster as small as feasibly possible to prevent us having to rotate people too often and to keep our team tight knit – as such, we do require a high level of raid attendance, however in return you can rest assured that we will not recruit anyone for bench warming positions; we only recruit people who we need and hence will hold a regular raid spot.

The guild is led by officers who have substantial experience in the running of guilds, most recently having been involved with the management of world top 50 ranked ‘strict’ 10 man guilds during WotLK (11/12 ICC hard modes as well as Ulduar hard modes and Tribute to Insanity when they were relevant content), as well as holding various officer/class leader positions during vanilla and TBC. No we aren’t perfect; however we do have at least some idea of how to go about running a 10 man raiding guild.

Raid Schedule (server times):

Monday: 21.00 – 0.00
Wednesday: 21.00 – 0.00
Thursday: 21.00 – 0.00

*Invites at 20.45 for all three nights*. We firmly believe that nine hours a week is plenty to progress with WoW end game as it is nowadays and is easily doable for people who are ‘serious’ about raiding, while at the same time is not too much of a burden on real life commitments.

Ranged dps:

Please note that due to our aim of keeping a small raiding roster, we expect all of our members to be happy playing both their main and off spec – this means that we can rely on them to perform equally well if we require their off spec for a particular raid night, and that they put the same amount of effort into maintaining a set of gear for both.

Additionally, we have a social rank within the guild. Primarily this is aimed at friends and family of our raiding members, however we will consider unsolicited social applications as well. Please visit our forums for more information.

As Cataclysm has only just got underway, gear is a non-issue. Due to the gear reset and people undoubtedly being interested in switching main character for the new expansion, we are happy to consider any gear standard at the moment, however we are looking for characters of level 83+.
