View Full Version : BSOD crash advice needed

08-10-2010, 04:40 PM
Today I had a short power cut in my home, my PC was turned on at the time with a game loaded
(dumb fucking moron from local council came to install new smoke alarms and ended up tripping all the power to the house)

After booting up my computer afterwards I receive a BSOD everytime I try to load a game

Ive tryed doing System Restore, system check disc etc but the issue still remains in "event viewer" it shows:

after a quick search it comes up with KLIF as a part of Kaspersky anti virus but Ive NEVER had this AV installed

Ive ran Malwarebytes anti malware and a scan with Avast incase there was any kind of infection but all come up clean.
Please does anybody have any advice on fixing this issue.

working in windows seems fine but attempting to load up any games causes the BSOD crash with same error

a lot of hits to be found on bad memory or a faulty PSU

considering it only happens with games you might want to try reinstalling your video driver

Try to disconnect some redundant devices from the pc like the dvd, secondary hdd and you'll see if it's the psu that is lacking power. Try also to raise the cpu voltage by 100-200 mV

Try reseting bios values to default.
