So help needed, looking to buy myself a new graphics card, budget about 50-100 pound able to play WOW on high details.

Any suggestions?

The PC I paid £450 for came with a Geforce 9500GT. The card claims it's 1gb, yet the PC itself claims it's 2gb (must be 1gb). I can run WoW on Ultra without any slowdown at around 19-25fps in Dalaran. The CPU is a 2.5 Pent Core 2 Quad with 4gb memory slapped in so not sure how much difference that will make to the overall performance.

A lot,
WoW is more CPU/HDD limited than GPU limited.

I had an increase of 60FPS (in dalaran) when I upgraded my system from an AMD athlon x64 (dk it's mhz but not much, around 2000 or so?) with normal harddisks to a system with a intel core i7 860 with 4HDD's in (hardware!) RAID5.
Keeping the same *old* EVGA GF8800GT AKIMBO

I've personally bought the ATI Radeon 5770, playing at 40-60 FPS depending on the zone at max settings. Cost me 130 Euros, so in Pounds that should be in your budget.

Btw. Hi Llort, Exitlight here ;) Long time no see.

The ATI 5770 is AWSOME - but - to really see how awsome this is make sure you have an Motherboard which is Crossfire capable.

I have installed two of these cards in Crossfire mode and the performance is - out of this world - I won't quote how much FPS I am getting but its seriously way over 70.

You have made a good decision - even a bettr one if ur MB can take XFire and can eventually upgrade with another card in the furure.

Just go ahead and read abour the 5770 XFire capabilty - it is one of those rare occasions where u get what you read :)
