View Full Version : LFM 5 year olds for raid

Everyone knows the drill, you clear up trash and approach the boss, just then one raid member goes offline. You wait 5-10 minutes and they do not return. What do you do?

Well, we were at the second boss in ICC10. We tried to get guildies and friends to join, but being Tuesday evening, everyone was saved. Then I up with a solution.

Myr: We could do it with one dps staying on the boss for the entire fight?
RL: Sure.
Myr: My husband is out on a walk, but my 5 year daughter can probably play my his mage.

Needless to say, we all found this a hilarious idea and so I began the job of prepping her for the battle. Hit Arcane Blast 4 times, then arcane missiles. If you see green stuff at your feet, move.

She pulled it off near flawlessly (mana issues). Even moved out of the green (a feat not yet mastered by many a raider). In PvP gear (oops) she pulled over 3k dps and we one shot the boss.

Aha. I knew kids were useful in some way...

Amazing. It might be time to start advanced training in timing CDs with procs.

Gosh I have to start some serious training program with my kid now. I did have him walk my hunter alt here and there though.

Interesting - I always thought kids were used for powering giant hamster-wheel-driven-machines which powered WoW servers.

Clearly I was misinformed.

That's a very nice start but I can see lots of potential for more. Next you can teach her how to grind gold for you. Imagine, your own little personal chinese farmer!

I was there! (Natei in the list there)

It is all true :P the DPS was even at 4K in the start, but fell off abit due to OOM issues =/

Anywho, Saga is a great DPS! I bet she wipes the floor with many other ppl out there any day! ^^

Hehe, I'm not surprised, kids are amazing!

Haha, so cute. :D

And here I thought you grew kids to sell their organs. This is interesting data.

The real issue begins when the 5 year old stars outDPSing the grown-up.

At 5 years old its very cute and adorable though when they are 10 and let loose in pugs its a different story.

This thread prooves at least 1 of 2 things.

1. The kid has a future within gaming.
2. The game really has become too easy.

Its not like she played the mage anywhere close to its limits, but when the only thing you basicly need to do is cast arcane blast 4 times then arcane missiles, it makes me wonder what mage´s have all their spells for.
Looking at mage´s bars, they are usually overcrowded with spells everywhere, yet mostly just 2 are used?

Oh, and its not like she played 100% self depented either. Its not like you didnt sit right next to her constantly telling her what to do and constantly updating her on whats happening and what she must look out for.

Hell i would be terrified of messing up.
Or wait, basicly everyone is afraid of messing up when Myr runs the raid, wich im sure the kid knows.

Not impressed.

No instructions were given after the fight had started. Myr was busy tanking sitting at her PC, and my daughter was using mine a few meters away.
