Ok so Ive just installed firefox after having a few annoying issues with Internet explorer which i couldnt seem to fix,

so far working fine, but is there any way to alter the font / txt on webpages displayed in firefox as the text just looks crap and "Grainy" where as it looks more bold and clear in IE8,
also I hear alot of people mentioning "Essential Addons / Plugins" like "No Script" etc, what plugins do any users here of Firefox reccomend?

basicly adblock plus does the tric. Nothing else really needed.
No script is only useful if you are scared of javascript...

As per font, you can change ths at the options (extra/options, I think (behind safari atm)) There you can change the default font of webpages.

By default IE uses ClearType to smooth fonts.

What you can try is to enable ClearType for all applications. You may or may not like it since it will affect more than just internet browsers (I prefer not to use this myself).

- Right click desktop
- Properties ("Personalize" in Vista)
- Appearance ("Window Color and Appearance" in Vista)
- Effects...
- Set "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" to ClearType

Fonts in Firefox should now look identical to IE.
