View Full Version : FPS Crawl On Another Character

Hey,

I have a problem that's really annoying me.

On my main character, I have no FPS issues. 50+ most of the time.

On my alt character, with the same client, same computer, same addons - my FPS slows to a crawl (about 7) during 25man combat. Before combat, its fine - 55 fps or so. As soon as combat starts, even in small instances like VoA, it slows majorly.

Addon Memory shows 22mb used which is very average afaik.

I've no idea why this is happening - it should be pretty much the exact same no matter what the character is.

Any ideas on what might be causing this, or how I can go about diagnosing the problem?

Got Cartographer ? If so try and disable it.

What different addons are you running between the two? If its in combat could be the amount of data being processed by an addon

I'll try cartographer.

The only difference between the two is "furyDPS" is disabled on the alt and Bartender is enabled on the alt.

I have the same problem, particularly in Ulduar and VoA...my mage has no fps lag but my shaman, doing the exact same fights lags horribly in combat. I've tried disabling stuff to eliminate what's causing it but I haven't got there yet.

I'll be watching this thread with interest. :)

I'll be watching it too.

I just have an FPS crawl, no matter what character >_> Might be my CPU might be my addons.

I assume you've tried disabling all addons and entering combat/whatever causes to try and pintpoint if its an addon issue?

Had a problem like this back in Naxx raiding and it was caused by my unit frames add-on. Simple fix was to delete the Cache folder and let WoW recreate it when I logged back in.
