Hey guys,

As a taste of the competitions to come with our relaunch, we're doing two competitions right now to win a Blizzcon 2009 Stream package (http://blizzcon.rayv.com/), on August 21-22nd, which includes:

16 hours of live streaming
Exclusive interviews
Tournament coverage
Most importantly, Grunty the Murloc Marine in-game pet.

How do I win?!!11

Competition 1: Create The Most Entertaining PVP Video

We want to see you come up with a 5 minute video showing your awesome leet skillz, make us laugh at how much you suck, or just you running around like a headless chicken in WG. You don't have to be a great (or even good) PVPer, this video is all about being entertaining rather than 'the best'.

Rules

Deadline is 17th August (yeah, that's about two weeks)
Will be judged by a VOTE by the SSE community.
Any PVP is accepted: Arenas, Battlegrounds, WG, World, Duels
It must take place on this realm (Shadowsong).
You yourself must be the main focus of the video.
It must be no longer than 5 minutes in length.

Competition 2: Help Us L2P by writing a guide

We want to fill up the new SSE with new content, and so we are offering a second Blizzcon stream (and Grunty pet :P) to whoever comes up with the best WoW related guide for us. It can be a guide to anything, from PVP to PVE, professions to class mechanics.

Rules

Deadline is 17th August
Will be judged by the site administrators.
You must not plagiarise (copy) other people's work.
Can (and should, if appropriate) contain screenshots, illustrations, or even videos.
It must relate to current content (how to speed clear Deadmines at level 80 is not really what we're looking for).
Originality will be favoured (i.e. if you write a guide to something there isn't already a hundred of on the internets).

Get crackin!

Oh, just make a post to say you're going to compete in one or both the competitions, just so I get an idea of the numbers.

I have some lvl 60 pvp raw video (mage mostly) lying around still on one of the external HD's. Would this be of any interest? Is it "current content" enough?

I really want to...but i dont really have any video editing program or the skillz to use one, and every possible guide has already been made by someone else, so im not sure what to do atm :P

Doesn't have to be a unique guide. Just not one thats been done a lot.

Fraps is one you can get, put that together with free Windows Movie maker and it's okay for throwing something together. I won't be bothering due to my PC's lack of umph. Fraps + WoW = stuttering.

I might try to make some video of my 3v3 if I get time and some good games
