Codename: Project Offset

Genre: Next-Gen FPS
Website: http://www.projectoffset.com

Half Life 3
Although not much information on it, they have indirectly confirmed it.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3 will not be the last Half-Life game. It has been confirmed previously that Episode 3 will end the current Half-Life story arc, but not the franchise, nor the episodic medium.

TS-SWL: Are there any current plans after Episode 3 to have a Half Life 3?

DL: We havenít announced anything specific, but Half-Life wonít end at Episode Three Ė hang on to your crowbars!

Mafia II

Genre: TPS
Website: http://www.mafia2game.com/
Producer: 2K Czech
Details: The game will feature a completely open-ended game map of 10 square miles. No restrictions are included from the start of the game.
The fictional Empire Bay (originally called Empire City earlier in the game's development) is based on both New York City and San Francisco, set in the 1940s and 50's. Many small arms from the previous game will make a return, for example the Thompson M1928, the Colt 1911 and a pump action shotgun. As seen in screenshots, new WWII-era weapons like the MP40 and the M3 Grease Gun will make an appearance in the game as well as the MG42.
Interacting with objects in the environment involves two action buttons- a standard action and a "violent" action, used in context-sensitive situations. A map will be included as in the original Mafia game. The checkpoint system has been completely overhauled.

Mafia 1 had one of the greatest stories in any game that i have ever played

Project Offset is not a First Person Shooter but a First Person RPG.
But it does look promising.

Took me less than 5 hours to complete, and I only missed 1 area it seems and a few "special" items to be found. Still alot better than Operation Anchorage, not that a hard thing to achieve sadly. :(

Overall its still good tho just too little of everything, and the fact that you cant explore the entire ship once you're done (and the ship is yours) is a killer tho.

Expectation about this one were that it will be better than O:A.
Seems peeps wanted it mostly because of few certain items and NPCs found there. But yea, it's nothing when compared to Point Lookout or Broken Steel and maybe comparable with Pitt (as you can back there anytime after finishing but there is no side quests to do).

I did like Zeta overall, but its kinda annoying that you cant go back and explore once you're done. I loved the final battle with the enemy ship, it had a certain StarTrek'ish/BSG feeling over it :)

But just to spoil it for everyone, if you go there as lvl30 dont use a laser gatling gun thing. At my lvl having done everything in the game with all the other DLC perks, mine did roughly 230+ dmg (I have the precision laser gatling) which means you slaughter everything in split seconds :)

Tri Beam/Gatling lasers for Star/Fawkes. For me? Old style Lincoln's Repeater!
