Currently i have Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle (http://wowhead.com/?item=28581) and i know that the best ranged wep for BM hunters is Barrel-Blade Longrifle (http://wowhead.com/?item=30724), but now i'm wondering if the new Crossbow of Relentless Strikes (http://wowhead.com/?item=34892) from the new badgeloot really is beter than the wolfslayer for BM hunters.

Anyone who can answer this?

I'm myself worried i will loose dps cus the xbow is slower than wolfslayer, ofc some haste rating would make it better but 75.7 haste rating for 0.1 faster wep is quite alot.

I will ofc buy the Barrel-Blade once i get enough money for it and once it apears on AH, since Doomwalker is quite far of for a guild that still only do 10-mans.

Yes. There's a fair amount of info and general number crunching on the wowhead links you provided.

Dr Boom (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=20284) was made for ranged weapon skillups. Grab some cheap arrows, auto shoot and go afk for a bit.

For huntah skillup (melee too, but that's obvious) go to the Blasted Lands, take one of the Servants, pet on him, viper and /afkautoshoot with mend pet from time to time. Boom might be annoying with some mobs agroing here and there.

No, the new crossbow sucks.

It's ugly and as we all know:

LOOKS > STATS!!!

Wish they had at least put agility on it instead of the hit rating.
Don't know what to make of a 2.8 speed weapon, without agility,
with hit rating that I'm already caped on as survival hunter. :(

on a single target (and as a BM hunter) i can report significant dps increaes from using the new xbow in a raid situation. which isn't at all surprising.

Havent had time to test it in any instas or raids yet. But my tests on dr.boom are disturbing. I usually do around 600 dps on him without pet, and now with new bow i only did 450 dps, skill maxed ofc. Must be doing something wrong.

Hope to get into a kara raid or somthing this incomming weekend so i can test the new bow fully.

What was your old bows speed and what rotation were you using/are you using with the new bow?

Currently i have Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle (http://wowhead.com/?item=28581)
So 2.7AS / 1.96AS unhasted (with serpents swiftness and 15% ammo pouch).

That doesn't answer the question and to be honest, you shouldn't be the one answering it. :p

It's all about the thought process behind your own weapon speed and the rotation you're using.

I forgot about the pet when i did dps test on the new xbow :P

Looks very ok, dunno how much it actually increases my dps before i go next time to kara. But i estimate i should be able to keep 800 dps quite steady. That would be a increase of about 50 dps.
