View Full Version : Lionheart Blade VS Lunar Crescent

So, I'm a bit stuck. I'm leveling my Warrior atm and I'm still not sure of what I want to take. So Lionheart(with the Sword Specialization) or the Axe(with Axe Specialization). Any tips or personal experiences? ;P

i'm not a very reliable source of info on this, but I believe that the axe is seen as the PvE choice while the sword is a PvPers weapon.

That being said, i'd take the mace if I wanted to PvP since warriors are more able than most classes to overcome fear, plus the fear nerf has actually forced affliction locks to work out a strategy other than skillcoil, skillfear, skilldotdotdotdots

I'd go for axes... why? personally id prefer 5% crit over 5% chance for a extra hit. And Also you wont need to respecialize if you want to get a good fury MH, the planar edge is waiting! whilst fireguard is a more tanking weapon, or I guess it would do good in off hand as well. But axes are pwn so id go for em.

Cael, does that go for rogues too? (Not that we can use axes =P) But is being a sword spec BS worth it for a rogue over, say, a leatherworker?

Cael, does that go for rogues too?No. It would be OH only, and not worth the effort. That's my opinion anyway. The mace is great, though.

For warriors and PvP, get the mace. The sword is by far the worst choice.

My 2c...

Axe is good if you're going for a 31/30 or 33/28 spec, more crit = more flurry, and more crit is always good, period.

Sword is good for potential but unreliable instagibbing.

Sword and Axe both lack stamina, but have great offensive stats.

Mace is the pvp choice imo, obviously excellent stats and mace stun spec is pure win. (Especially when combined with the on-weapon proc of the T2 mace.)

Ok, ty for reply. I think I'll reconsider my profession careers then ^^

Maces are for sissies

Mace for PvP, Axe for PvE - imo.

Well, I can't have both Mace and Axe Specilization :s

And I'm planning to go mostly PvP with this character.

Mace, personally I'd go axe with a good areana team.

Too bad Cornelia isnt human :) +5 wep skill doesnt hurt :)

And yes I would say the mace is your choice for pvp

29-04-2007, 01:05 PM
Well, I kinda prefer the Shadowmeld tbh :)
But Periception and the weapon skill isn't that bad :p

then take the mace, you're not healable without stamina, the stun proc with mace spec is nice in the arena (esp 2vs2, you take out 50% of the opposition for 3-4 secs with it) and the extra rage boost can save you life while making PvE also accessible.

Mace all the way, which is why im making one for my self... has the highest top end & the stun is cool, plus a wad of stats.

plus the later versions of it start to look cool. ;)

29-04-2007, 02:34 PM
Yeah, but doesen't it have better damage?

30-04-2007, 04:49 PM
has the highest top end

Got Thunder and it hits like a truck.

You generate LOADS of Rage with mace specc and combined with Imp.Slam you can really dish out som serious damage.

Of course, Flurry suffers quite a bit from the 5% less Crit compared to axes.

Thunder=16 rage per hit for me, 32 on crit. And it offers some CC style stunz on evul mobs/healbots :D
But axe is ofc pure dps ownage...
And swords are meh for movies with wf procs >_>
So if you desregard mace (lol) go for axe!
