Users of MSN will have noticed that WoW is now advertised on the MSN Today pop up which appears when you log in, with the slogan mentioned in the topic name. This got me wondering, what does WoW mean to you, what draws you to it, be it scale, adventure, socialising, or a mixture of all of these :) (Or other reasons)

Only constructive posts please ^_^

PS. If anyone who has also seen this advert and knows how to get images into posts could please post it I'd be grateful!

Oh, and nowadays I enjoy WoW mainly because of the people who play the game and whom I share my experiences with, not for the actual game which is rather dull and monotonous in my opinion. TBC -should- solve this though.

The people in my raid group mainly or the ones I just happen to know and like to say hi to. Also that feeling of exploration, that used to be there & hopefully will be once again.

These two replys pretty much sum it up for me too. People that I've got to know and exploration (which unfortunately was over way too soon). And yes, the game indeed got very dull and monotonous after doing about everything there is to do.

That's why I quit basicly and the brightside of it is that I can still chat with the same people in MSN or even in SSE. The only difference is that I don't have to have to pay the monthly fee to do so now. :)

I just like these forums, because I don't have a life.

I play WoW because I'm addicted to spending hours and hours getting higher numbers on my pixels.

What is a life though? Some like sky diving, some like going to nightclubs and dancing the night away, while others prefer to stay in and poke elves with glowing weapons - tis what you enjoy that matters.

I play WoW because I like to think I've made some friends, and easily a few enemies because I am a whiney tw*t and very outspoken. The game itself has become a tad dull, even doing the Horde quests it gets a little tiresome, so I tend to just head to places where there are humanoid mobs and farm them to some music.

You can always put a slant on how you play, just after a while even the most creative of minds becomes bored and wants to do something else. Burning Crusade may help alleviate this, and I expect a few old faces reappearing.

Now excuse me I have some Transformer toys to rearrange, alphabetically..

I play wow because i like to hang around 'friends; ... untill they transfer off the server without saying a word or quit the game.. Dunno why... you'd allmost think I have something to do with it..

I truly appreciate the social interaction of rouge loot drama or just yelling at ppl in AV ...

I enjoy the game for 4 reasons:

Raiding
All the bullshit on Teamspeak while raiding
PvP
Hevn's ass

that about summs it up really...

That's it. I need to start charging admission.

Anyway, The only reason I still play this silly game is because of the people. I have made many friends here, and I'm not going to give that up anytime soon. :)

The way WoW brings people together sets it apart from many other games. I, like all the above posters, >_< Log in to intereact with friends. In particular I loved the raid enviornment, alot of laughs and achievements tightening the bonds of friendship etc. :D

Eating lil' gnomes is a highlight too I guess.

Tis a fancy version of irc which just happens to include a reasonable game to play together; like others above, I probably would've stopped ages ago except for the other people I've met who also play. Will see what TBC brings... barring that, there's a couple new MMOs coming up which might be a bit more varied.
