Hi All

I've noticed that there don't seem to be any player run events on the Shadowsong Server, i've been toying with the idea of running some and I was wondering if there was any interest from everyone in such things?

The kind of thing I'm thinking of is mainly silly stuff really, such as naked pvp'd Gnome racing into Thralls chanmber in Org or a massed lvl1 pvp'd naked Troll dance off outside Ironforge... you get the idea i'm sure :)

Some of it may involve in-game prizes, some of it just for kicks and giggles.

Anywho ..../discuss :)

We have events, but fairly infrequently. Would be nice to see a few more.

Edit: most of the level one city raids we do happen when shadowsong has gone offline -- so they all happen on other servers :/

They may not happen regularly, but when they do they rock.

Such as the 5v5 PVP competition. That really was spectacular.

And Core of Insight did the Master Quest for the alliance which i thought was quite cool. One of the nice things i've seen happen on this server and they gave away a Molten Core run away as the prize (I think).

Does this stuff mainly happen on the Alli side and does it ever get advertised on the official WoW site (in the event calendar)?

It's mostly shared; there's plenty of people on both sides that know each other reasonably well (and have a ton of alts to use for communication).

I don't think we've used the official site much. Most of the time somebody comes up with an idea, makes a thread here, and then we get lots of suggestions/flames/quote pyramids... and eventually something happens :)

Jeffrey Goines: You know what crazy is? Crazy is majority rules. Take germs, for example.
James Cole: Germs?
Jeffrey Goines: Uh-huh. In the eighteenth century, no such thing, nada, nothing. No one ever imagined such a thing. No sane person, anyway. Ah! Ah! Along comes this doctor, uh, uh, uh, Semmelweis, Semmelweis. Semmelweis comes along. He's trying to convince people, well, other doctors mainly, that's there's these teeny tiny invisible bad things called germs that get into your body and make you sick. Ah? He's trying to get doctors to wash their hands. What is this guy? Crazy? Teeny, tiny, invisible? What do you call it? Uh-uh, germs? Huh? What? Now, cut to the 20th century. Last week, as a matter of fact, before I got dragged into this hellhole. I go in to order a burger in this fast food joint, and the guy drops it on the floor. Jim, he picks it up, he wipes it off, he hands it to me like it's all OK. "What about the germs?" I say. He says, "I don't believe in germs. Germs is just a plot they made up so they can sell you disinfectants and soaps." Now he's crazy, right? See? Ah! Ah! There's no right, there's no wrong, there's only popular opinion.

Other than the fact that germs have been proven. Sure.

Just because we don't know about it doesn't mean it doesn't exsist.

My point exactly. Still talking about player-run events, right ;o))

The balloon was followed by a long scream of rage mixed with a roar of complaint: "AAaargwannawannaaaagongongonargggaaaaBLOON!" which is the traditional sound of a very small child learning that with balloons, as with life itself, it is important to know when not to let go of the string. The whole point of balloons is to teach small children this.
