This is so fucking awesome. I'm seriously tempted to go back to heavy subtlety now, and live inside arenas teleporting around.

Grounding totem.

Wand > grounding totem, unless you place it right at the last second. which is kinda tricky.

(Shammies ain't that bad, but they've lost a lot since release)

Shamans are cannon fodder for any decently played warlock. Unless there is a serious gear difference. (Or skill ; P )

No way.

Duel a well geared / skilled shaman without SL and you'll feel pain. Not only do the suckers keep throwing out their grounding 15secs (or more) before they start, they also have a guaranteed crit on both their first CL and shock (3-3.5k damage). Not to mention, most of them are taurens and have warstomp (buys them enough time for either a heal or another CL - unless you avoid it). You don't have room for many mistakes, tbh. Obviously you can outplay them, but it's not 'ez-mode'. At least most classes are far easier, imo.

Although, they're obviously way easier in open pvp.

you forget the simple fact that most shamans are clueless :P

Solk, the only time I really had troubles with Shamans was in close quarters when I simply canテつエt move out of shock / totem range. Or against very good shamans (<3 Zhaman). Granted, Have not PVPテつエd in a long while on Myri, but I see the other end of the stick now, since I played my Shammy alot lately.

Maybe I am wrong, since Horde has improved gear-wise lately and Iテつエll be the first to admit that gear matters, but I see myself what kind of mismatch a Warlock is, having the most troubles against them

Hiding the grouding totem out of the way is a good tactic, yeah. But where do you get this idea they can guarantee two crits in a row? One I can see, if they're specced 31 elemental(many aren't), but not two.

The warstomp/lhw combo(for taurens) along with them shocking a lot of your spells is quite nasty to face, but if you do get them feared they can't do much about it except try and heal off the damage afterwards. (Tremor totem theoretically helps, but rarely does in practice.)

Don't get me wrong. Shamans can be killed, they're just not as easy as you make it sound (imo). Saying they're just wood feeding our flames is an exaggeration imo. However, as I said, I've only encountered shamans in duels, and that makes a world of difference of course. Especially since most decent shamans tend to rely on their cds to kill a fly :p.

It's a bug, I believe. As long as you trigger the shock before the CL hits, both will crit.

Edit: Aye, it requires 31 points in elemental. But it's not like you see many without nowadays (despite your claim). Ever since the shaman revamp, every damn totem spammer has been fully elemental spec'ed. As for the few resto shamans, they're mainly PvE orientated. And since this is a PvP discussion, well...

Allright, cannon-fodder was maybe the wrong choice of words. Not too much of a problem would have been better maybe ;P .

Just a few...problems with that class imo,not that they cant be taken...just the majority of classes cant.(and players)

Hmm, well... maybe you get the elementals zapping you with CL/shock, and I end up with all the rest wanting to bash me over the head with a chunky mace (enchancement) :)

I spose you're coming from a duel PoV with SS shammies though, whereas I get to face all sorts of hordies from different realms in BG.

<--- Does not have 31 points in Ele. Good old 30 / 21 build for NS. Find it more usefull overall (althought empted to go full elemental). Anyway, I vote for a /end threadhijack

Agreed.

vanish/shadowstep/cheapshot is going to be great for taking on flag runners, I think :)

Been playing with it now for the last two hours, only in solo PVE though. I'm loving it. Shadowstep->Ambush is a fantastic opener. The range on it is huge which is really sweet, and well I'm lazy so anything that saves walking wins ;)

As rogues get charge....which this basically is...

Where is my stealth...

On a night elf. :)

But rogue's stealth was more to do with them wearing leather as meleers with no shield or bearform to help, I think.

Copied from the Guild Wars assassin tbh.

Copied from the Guild Wars assassin tbh.

And they copied it from umpteen other games that came before. (Seen something very similar in a few pen-and-paper games.) Inventing something completely new is damn hard nowadays :)

Copied from the Guild Wars assassin tbh.

As Kinshara said plus Blizz already used something similar in D2 LoD....think it was the Assasins Dragon flight move. Can't remembe the specifics as its been so long. God, it was an addictive game.

Don't think they've posted the changes yet; still in testing phase. (Much as the revision to druid's mangle hasn't appeared yet)
