This sentence confounds me. Why would anyone need more incentive to go destro?

I don't like the sound of that, when it comes from Ashen.

Was going to be destro anyways but this confirms that my choice was right. fingers crossed that blizz wont nerf this.

I really, *really* hope that doesn't go into the release, given 70% interrupt resist from intensity is already there. 25% chance for instant cast on any physical damage taken? Will proc all the time :\

Also seems shadowfury is now targetable (with 30 yd range)

Alot of people on various forums were tallking about affliction tree being the way forward, I agree that destruction is the way forward and I also like the increased range on SF and shorter cooldown.

Hm, I won't put too much time in to these until they are final (they have just shown that they can and will change quite a bit before it's final). But so far I've seen very good reasons to use either Affliction and Destruction (maybe leaning more towards destro now again). Now if it turns out that Demonology is viable in many situations ... what if the Fel Guard pwns in PvE, PvP and raids (highly unlikely but anyway...) ... then things will be complicated in an interesting way.

Asdgfsa. You lose out on, like, most of the new destro goodies then. Also demonic embrace. Fail.

I agree with Ashen (more or less...), you're sacrificing far too many lovely talents if you go for NF (which get way too much credit already).

I'm currently 7/7/37 and I must admit the new spells in Destro look delicious. Borderline sexy.

I think I'll be a happy lock in TBC :)

Hmm, demonology. Loads of people going on and on about the Felguard + Black Book ... anyone got any experience?

Read a fair bit on the wow-europe forums and there is very little mention of my beloved Destruction tree.

Hmm, demonology. Loads of people going on and on about the Felguard + Black Book ... anyone got any experience?

Read a fair bit on the wow-europe forums and there is very little mention of my beloved Destruction tree.

Saw a thread on the official forums with screenies of felguard damage, without the book; crits for 750+. This was against level 20ish mobs though, for testing purposes, and the lock had something like tier 2.5+ gear, so it's expected.

Someone later in the thread posted a setup screenie vs. an unbuffed 67 priest, using the book -- nearly 1.5K crit. So, the felguard isn't lacking in the damage department. It does get shredded by a decent warrior or rogue though.

I've only seen one video of a destruction build, and not much discussion about it -- a lot of people don't like shadowfury for various reasons though(mostly to do with the addition of a .5 sec cast time, even though it's now targettable rather than being caster-centered)

My level 61 felguard can easily solo single non-elite level 63/64 mobs ... if I use some DoTs (mainly CoA and Corr) on the mobs they go down so fast he won't even lose more than max 5-10% health. And ... give him a few seconds with a mob and he hold good enough aggro to allow a few SB's.

They will nerf him I guess...

This is with my current leveling/question spec (11/41/0 at level 61) ... endgame/raiding will be different though.

So let me get this straight.

I dont want you to cast Shadowbolt, so im going to feral charge/catform you and disrupt.

Oh wait, now since i attacked you, you can cast an INSTANT shadowbolt.
