My rogue is only level 50ish atm, but my intentions are pvp - swords/lots of survival/some nice SS damage.

I know it doesnt have some of the "Fundamental" talents (cold blood etc), but is this at all viable for pvp? Or am i just going to get destroyed?

Build isn't good, because it doesn't have Ruthlesness/Relentless strikes. If you're specing that far into Subtlety pick up Hemo. swap around points in subtlety however you like

Or just spec into http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?wheboxZG0EzMmzxco , imp kick is very nice.

Slight variations on Khalam's builds, but here's what I'd go for at 60:

Hemo - http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?fueboxzoZhZyxV00cR0o

Combat swords - http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?wheboxZG0EzMmzxco

What Khalam said

His builds are quite good, the first one would probably be the most ideal flagrunner/SS build, to change your damage output a little bit you could drop the point in KS and CB and put it in imp SS for a little bit of energy conservation, but the difference would be marginal.

If you aren't intending to flag run then almost no reason to go subtlety at all with an agression build your damage output would be significant enough to be considered a decent damage dealer in BG, you lack some of that burst that dagger rogues get but your output is consistant and annoys the hell out of plate. Hemo is a great talent but you have to pick up a couple of sucky talents to get it (unless you go daggers obviously)

What he says about ruthlessness/relentless is utterly true, with a 5cp KS its guaranteed to cost 0 energy, 5cp evis is only 10 and so forth.

That's always a good thing when making a new char. Being comfortable with your build > cookie cutter, no matter how wierd your build may be.

Well i'm not sure atm, my original plan was to end up daggers, but swords/combat seems nice, and swords/hemo too

Kinda depends on what weapons / equip you intend to use. If you're going to try and stack AP really heavily and get a 2.7+ speed weapon then hemo can have nice damage since its not normalised but it requires alot of attack power, but then I presume you wanted hemo with that sort of spec for the sake of stunlocking people. I can link my gear if you want but stunlocking in BG's is'nt a full viability since stunlocking is a slowmethod of killing time we often dont have (note I stunlock with a more pve oriented 20/31 build). Against a good group like the lilska team stunlocking to victory is a difficult thing to do since it requires getting out huge amounts of damage before some git heals them, while a pair of daggers could cut them down much faster.

You have more survivability with a dagger build aswell as more burst damage. Stunlocking takes more skill, but inevitably its also less effective for killing. Even if you intend to be a flag runner it surely makes more sense to be a more effective killer for when its required? :)

Imo Master of deception is a duelling talent and camouflage is a BG talent since it helps a huge amount with catching upto people while stealthed.

One other thing. Get rid of murder! cheapshot missing is more an issue of the stun resisting, which happens a lot anyway (with or without +hit).

I have 33.56% crit (with fist spec) and the other day I was pvp'ing and got a 900 SS crit - 900 SS crit - 1100 evis crit. I was shocked. That kind of good damage on instant attacks is for dagger rouges, or as I was then a lucky rouge.

Im pretty sure the spec i go for will turn out something like this

http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?fheboxZG0xzZiVV00co

I know it doesnt have Coldblood, but im loving riposte atm and i dont really want to be *that* cooldown dependant. Im planning on doing a bit of flagrunning so prep is a must imo.

ty for the input ^_^

Drop Elusiveness and Initiative forever they're worthless (some may try to to convice you a 3pt CS is priceless when initiative proccs but without it more options are open for full locks). Imp CS 1/2 is enough for all opening lockdowns. If you plan to pvp only go crazy and take the entire first tier in subtlety. It pays off and off and off.

Very true, but in my opinion you can live without 5/5 MoD. Put a point or two into it, the speed from camo will let you get your opener anyway.

Lol, i just specced full combat and my PvE damage has become insane. Im losing a little more edge in PvP since i'm used to vanishing and sprinting twice, but as far as raw damage goes this is kicking ass o_O;
