Assorted notes about factions

TB - http://www.wowwiki.com/Thorium_Brotherhood

Zandalar - you also get the rep for completing class set quests, turning Hakkar heart and head collection quest. Also turning in coins/bijous and using tokens

Timbermaw - cant say exactly, it was changed in 1.9 and i still didnt bothered to check.

CC (its actually circle, not hold) - one time quests in Silithus, killing varios creatures in Silithus, turnin abyssal items from summoned bosses, turning cultist pages

AD - you can get to revered simply running scholo and strat. At revered its bit harder, since only bosses now gives rep.

Timbermaw furbolgs. Recepies are sold by Meilosh, and Gorn One Eye sells some other stuff. Most enchanters go for the +agi enchant with them. I'm at revered, and know all the LW recepies from them (there's a list of them on the crafting page).

Meilosh: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=11557
Gorn One Eye: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=11555

At exhulted, you get a little timbermaw friend who will wander around and heal you for 30ish secs (long cooldown, most people don't rate the trinket much at all). I'm going to call mine Barry!

Rep is gained by killing random deadwood or winterfall furballs, up until revered. At revered, rep is only gained by killing elite mobs (i.e. High Chief Winterfall - the most victimised furbolg in the whole of Azeroth), and by handing in spirit beads (robbed off dead furballs in Winterspring) and feather things (robbed off dead Felwood furballs - I don't know much about feathers, as I'm just in Winterspring). So, if you're going for exhulted, save these up from the start! You can get rep in groups, so group up. There's nothing more irritating than nobbers who won't group to share rep, and then ninja kills from you.

Locations of winterfall furballs (click the links on the page): http://wow.allakhazam.com/search.html?q=winterfall
and the deadwood: http://wow.allakhazam.com/search.html?q=deadwood

To be able to loot beads or feathers, you need to do a pre quest from the furbolg either just outside timbermaw hold at the winterspring side, or at the felwood side - they're just outside the gates, can't miss 'em.

I'm usually in Winterfall Village, give us a tell if you'd like to group up. I've managed to get revered with the Timbermaw, just through doing the repeatable epic frostsaber mount quest for rep with Wintersaber Trainers (just remember to do the spirit bead pre-quest thing, so you pick them up as you go): http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=5201

A warning: Since the patch, Winterfall Village has gone from permenantly deserted to damn busy. There are lots of other places that you can grind for timbermaw rep though (unfortunately not the case for wintersaber rep though :cry:).

edit 1: added stuff...
edit 2: small formatting changes (learn the preview button dammit)!!

Timbermaw hold:

Do rep quest to loot beads and feathers as soon as possible. Collect beads and feathers.

Hostile -> Unfriendly: Kill furballs
Unfriendly -> Neutral: Kill furballs
Neutral -> Friendly: Kill furballs
Friendly -> Honored: Make peace with furballs, have tea & biscuits. Oh, no - it's kill furballs
Honored -> Revered: Kill furballs
Revered -> Exalted: Kill elite boss furballs, hand in a lot of beads and feathers that you have been saving up.

One last note - it'd be a bad idea to kill any of the timbermaw furballs ;)

Timbermaw - cant say exactly, it was changed in 1.9 and i still didnt bothered to check.

They added a quest mob next to the southern furbolg camp so there's less running back and forth (which was the major time sink with the original quest)

Once you do the 'kill x winterspring furbolgs' quest from the furbolg next to the timbermaw hold exit to winterspring you can start picking up spirit beads, turn in 5 for 50 rep, and they drop quite frequently.

There's also items that you can get which start quests to be handed in once you reach neutral, I'm not sure if they are repeatable or anything.

That's all I've discovered so far, but then I'm not hugely interested in the fubolgs, one day I'll be able to cast +15 agi, but I'm not really that bothered, and other stuff is more pressing. :)

i'm halfway to revered with furballs but can't be bothered to do more :(

TB is hard to get to revered.. honored is easy but revered needs MC materials which usually get priorized for making raidgear :(

AD Rep Tip
(I didn't do this with my main, but, hell, I'm gonna do this with my newly lvl 50 alt)

You never stop gaining rep from handing in scourgestones and using the Valour Tokens. So grind and grind for stones in E/WPL & Strat/Scholo until you don't gain rep from just killing non-elite mobs any more (the scourgestones stack in 100's). I'm not sure at which stage you stop gaining rep from kills - Friendly maybe? - but just hand all your stones in then.

Disclaimer: Just an idea... not tried and tested yet :P

oh... are you saying that Strat / Scholo bosses give AD rep at Revered now?... :shock:

that would be nice since the thought of killing around 5-6000 mobs in EPL in order to reach Exalted isn't exactly my idea of fun... :?

Shadewalk

for the AD rep I found that none elites give rep until ->friendly elite -> hounoured...

I did it at the time it went another half which helped but thats no longer the case I believe... after that bosses and stones only, a scholo run totals about 250 boss rep (depends on which bosses you do/don't do)+ stones (about 100 at guess average) and strat ud about 150 boss rep + stones... (50-100 average guess)

stones assuming 25 for hand in and 25 for useing token

Timbermaw hold:
Neutral -> Friendly: Killing Furbolgs (Can be found here: Furbolgs (http://www.thottbot.com/?m=74695))
Friendly -> Honored: Killing Furbolgs
Honored -> Revered: Killing Furbolgs
Revered -> Exalted: Killing Furbolgs (Elite ones!)
Slight corrections matey (sorry for being a pedant): Reputation starts at hostile with Timbermaw Hold. Please add "handing in beads/feathers" to all phases (although it is reccomended that you save them to hand in on the revered -> exhulted phase if you need to get to exhulted). Quests to be able to pick up the beads or feathers can be done for the furbolg at any stage (I found this out last night, or at least the quest can be shared). The map does not give all furball positions... There are also furballs in Winterspring, but I'd rather you not mention those until I get exhulted! :lol:

Argent dawn:
Neutral -> Friendly: kill mobs
Friendly -> Honored: kill mobs
Honored -> Revered: kill elites & shadow mages
Revered -> Exalted: kill named elites & turn in scourgestones

Try not to turn in your scourgestones till you hit revered. Cause from revered to exalted its a bitch to gain rep. keep your stones with you & and mass turn m in when you hit revered.

For the darkmoon faire, you can also hand in 6 thorium widgets, or some amount of dense grinding stone or rugged leather patches. All also giving you 20 tickets.

If my memory serves me correctly, it was changed in recent patch that the reputation gain from killing mobs does not end at middle of a "level". So for example for Argent Dawn you can go on 'till you reach Revered.

Some other notes/web resources that might help.

Arget Dawn: (full details in http://www.wowwiki.com/Argent_Dawn)
* As soon as you are level 50, get an Argent Dawn Commission and grind the mobs in Sorrow Hill. Do not turn in the Scourgestones, save them.
* If you are already 60, complete the Cauldron quests immediately so that you can get a Vitreous Focuser. Then go to Gahrron's Whitering in Western Plaguelands and grind the mobs there. Save all Ectoplasmic Resonators.
* When you are honored, stop grinding. Do all the quests in Eastern and Western Plaguelands including the Cauldron quest line. Do all the quests in Scholomance and Stratholme. Do no turn in stones yet.
* Once the quests are done, you can either turn in the stones to push yourself to Revered, or save them if you plan on hitting Exalted.
* Once you are Revered, return to Gahrron's Whitering with your Ectoplasmic Resonators and use all of them on the Cauldron. Turn in all Scourgestones. Use all Argent Dawn Valor Tokens except for 25. Continue farming Gahrron's Whitering until Exalted.

Thorium Brotherhood

Again the WoWWiki is the best source imho like Drauk already mentioned. http://www.wowwiki.com/Thorium_Brotherhood

Darkmoon Faire

Goblin Workshop has a nice page with opening dates. They also tell what you can collect for tickets, how many per return and how long you can return any given item.

Doesn't strike me as quite right...

Cenarion circle:

Friendly -> Honored: Quests/turning in Encrypted twilight pages (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=52006)/Grinding Twilight mobs/Grinding Summoned Abyssals
Honored -> Revered: Turning in Encrypted twilight pages (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=52006)/Grinding Summoned Abyssals (you're long out of real quests by now, time to stop mentioning them :P)
Lesser known: Killing the Twilight Masters again, or killing Twilight Flamereavers will also get you that valuable one rep point.

If you're going for exalted with Argent Dawn, save all your scourgestones until you hit revered.

neutral -> revered is just a matter of doing quests and running scholomance and stratholme a few times. It goes insanely fast since you get rep for every kill. Become revered, turn in all your stones and you're 1/4th into getting that +5% resist all enchant. Now you only need to kill Gandling about a 100 times. Have fun.

Once the gates are open, Cenarion rep grinding will be more diverse and rewarding.

"more diverse and rewarding" ... yeah.

Translation: Once gates are open there will be endlessly repeatable Elite Bug grinding, supply gathering grinds, and mob hunting quests available.
And the ability to gain CC rep in AQ20 from killing stuff.

Still, it's true. More diverse = more things to do.
And more rewarding = the new rewards are availabe. :p Earthstrike plx.

Choneh gief brood info... how do you get rep?

AQ 40 killing/questing all the way through?

Chonar
17-05-2006, 10:01 AM
Aye.

Ahn'Qiraj Sealed forever behind the Scarab Gate:

Do the quest "Only One May Rise". Give the Broodlord's Head to Baristolth of the Shifting Sands in Cenarion Hold. (only one person in the raid may loot this). Visit Anachronos at the Caverns of Time. Kill a bazillion Sillithid. Each Sillithid drops between 0-4 Sillithid Carpache.

For every 200 Sillithid Carpache, you get 100 Nozdormu Rep, and the ability to make someone your 'deputy', enabling them, too, to loot Sillithid Carpache. However, if they havent done the quest, they cant turn em in.

Afterwards, you can get started on the questline to reform the Scepter of the Shifting Sands. Each part of the quest should get you about 100-200 more Nozdormu Rep.

The Walls have been breached!:

With Ahn'Qiraj opened, things get a little easier.
Each boss you kill in AQ20 yields about 33 Nozdormu Rep. Ossirian yields 99. (not terribly certain about this)

Until Friendly, you get 100 Nozdormu rep for nearly every AQ40 mob you kill. Each boss from AQ40 (except C'thun) yields a qQiraj Lord Insigna, which, when turned in to the dragons behind Skeram, give 500 Nozdormu Rep (and 100 CC rep).

Very rarely, an AQ40 mob can drop an Ancient Qiraj Artifact. When given to the dragons behind Skeram, this yields 1000 Nozdormu rep.

Turning in quests for AQ40 Tier 2.5 set items, or Regalia/Armaments, should give some rep too. I'm not certain how much, probably 100 as well.

And, of course, killing C'thun gives about 1000 Nozdormu rep, I think.

Lately I'm trying to get exalted everyhwere (don't ask me why, I'm just crazy :P), and I'm stuck on 2150/6000 Friendly on the Darkmoon Faire Rep. There are quests for: Glowing Scorpid Blood, Thorium Widget, Evil Bat Eye, Rugged Leather Armor Kit and Dense Grinding Stone, but none of them give rep (any more).

If anyone can help with this, I love to learn more :)

http://www.wowwiki.com/Darkmoon_Faire#Darkmoon_Faire_Reputation
Upon gaining reputation partway into Friendly (exact number needed), turn-ins will no longer provide reputation gains. The quests will be replaced with the "More" version (Thorium Widget will be replaced with Quest:More Thorium Widgets quest for example). These quests reward the same amount of tickets, but zero reputation. Upon hitting this reputation level, the Darkmoon Faire NPCs gossip text changes.

Another method of increasing your reputation past this point is by the quest "The Darkmoon Faire." The Horde and Alliance versions are available to any race of both factions, and are not mutually exclusive, although it will be difficult for an Alliance member to get the Horde quest, and vice versa. This quest is not repeatable, and most players will have done it before hitting this point in their reputation anyway.

The next method of continuing to gain Darkmoon Faire reputation is the quest "Your Fortune Awaits You...". Four of the possible twenty-nine fortunes offered by Sayge start this quest. They have players seek a chest in The Deadmines, The Wailing Caverns, Palemane Rock, or Eastvale Logging Camp. These quests reward 75 reputation each, (as well as the contents of the chest) and they can be repeated, provided you are able to get the fortune again. Because of the long cooldown on Sayge's fortunes, the approximate 14% chance to get one of these fortunes, and the fact that the Faire is only around for a week out of each month (including both Horde and Alliance locations), increasing your reputation in this way is very slow work.

The final method is by turning in a deck of Darkmoon Cards. Each deck increases reputation by 350.

There is no known benefit to becoming Honored with the Darkmoon Faire, beyond a 10% discount on the food, drink, special items, and the already cheap beer, although at the reputation level at which turn-ins stop giving reputation, Silas Darkmoon hints at rewards for those who continue to earn reputation.

On 08/08/2007 Tombom Undead Priest from Cho'gall US reached max exalted. This is possibly the first character to reach exalted with Darkmoon and he has confirmed that there are no known new benefits from this level of reputation.
