Hey Turiel, I'm a full time Web Developer so I know a fair bit about this ;) Any chance you could change the way the headers are sent out?
ATM it's set to force the browser to retrieve the pages every single time rather than from the local cache, so when I click the back button I get the message "waiting for shadowsongeurope.com" which makes browsing the forum very slow.

yes that is true.

However it does add a few functionalities.

Like when you click on an unread post, and click the backbutton, it will see the topic as read instead of still marked unread.

That actually is the only advantage I can imagine.

It also makes updating the site easier/better/faster. Since graphical updates won't always update once the site is in the users cache. SO sending the header *no-cache* it will always load the newest graphics.
It also reduces the space it takes on the users machine.

Use a tab browser.

I get pages to open in tabs behind the current one, and then close the tab with all the unread links, no need to go back and forth.

Sounds like way too much effort. :P
